On October 17th, GalloBuey participated in the event “A journey towards conscious fashion”, a day that brought together 20 Canary Island firms at the Hacienda La Rekompensa (Arucas) with a common goal: to showcase a new way of creating fashion, where sustainability, craftsmanship and innovation are strongly intertwined.
Organized by the Government of the Canary Islands, through Proexca, in collaboration with EEN Canarias and the island councils, these conferences marked a milestone in the archipelago's commitment to a more ethical, circular, and environmentally friendly textile industry. This international event combined fashion shows, presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities with industry experts, including representatives from the European Commission.
Technology with soul: GalloBuey's proposal
In this context, GalloBuey presented its proposal based on 3D printing with eco-friendly materials such as biodegradable PLA, a firm commitment to integrating cutting-edge technology and environmental responsibility. Each piece exhibited was the result of a creative and technical process where sustainability, art, and the future come together.
Our vision aligns with the urgent need to rethink production processes in the fashion sector. Therefore, at GalloBuey, we champion the use of clean technologies, responsible design, and positive impact as cornerstones of our work.
A firm step towards circularity
The Slow Fashion Canarias campaign , presented during the event, reinforces this collective commitment to revaluing handmade, local, and conscious products. We are proud to be part of this movement that places sustainability and innovation at the heart of the new narrative of Canarian fashion.
Furthermore, this initiative will allow brands to access specialized consultancies and European sustainability certifications , opening the door to new quality standards and international projection
Weaving alliances towards a more humane fashion
We shared the stage with brands like GalloBuey, which are transforming the industry from within. Designs created with natural fibers, recycled textiles, biodegradable dyes, artisanal production, and collaborations with vulnerable communities brought to life a unique fashion show, as diverse as it was committed. It was a celebration of fashion with purpose, where each garment told a story—not only of style, but also of social, cultural, and environmental impact.
Participating in this event not only reaffirms our mission but also inspires us to continue exploring new ways of creating without compromising our values. Because we believe in fashion that not only adorns bodies but also raises awareness. Fashion that doesn't revolve around seasons but around purpose; that isn't measured by trends but by the impact we have on the planet, on people, and on future generations.
This experience reminded us that we are not alone, that there is a growing community of designers, artisans, technologists, and activists who believe in collaboration as a driver of change. And at GalloBuey, we want to continue being an active part of this movement that looks to the future with responsibility, creativity, and hope. Because the future of fashion will be collective, ethical, and regenerative… or it won't be at all.
